Description

Dust Brawl is a top down 3D tower defense game wherein you use your ramshackle turrets to blast away dust bunnies in waves of increasing difficulty and complexity. Using your trusty rifle you will shoot down the bunnies, overcharge your towers, and mix elemental tower abilities to stop incoming hoard.

This project was made over a few months in 2024 during a college semester and involved me as a key designer and producer for the project.

What I learned

This project was fraught with failure but despite that fact we came out with a product that I am rather impressed with given our circumstance. Initially the team was dead set on another concept but after much deliberation with our professor we were forced to turn it into the product you seen now. Initially our prototypes weren’t up to the classes standards which made everyone involved quite demotivated to work on the project. Still with thorough planning and changes here and there to allow our designers and programmer to work on things they thought were interested concepts rather than settling for what would instantly work we were able to pull through and create a complex game with room for extensive expandability in preparation for our capstones.
